Ayutthaya, the former royal capital of Siam, is a UNESCO World Heritage site about 80 km north of Bangkok. The ruins most people come for: Wat Chaiwatthanaram by the river, Wat Mahathat with the Buddha head held in tree roots, and the three chedis of Wat Phra Si Sanphet.

- How much is a taxi from Bangkok to Ayutthaya?
- From a Bangkok hotel to Ayutthaya: ฿1,500 by sedan, ฿1,700 by SUV and ฿2,000 by van. The other way, Ayutthaya to a Bangkok hotel, is ฿1,200, ฿1,500 and ฿2,000. Per car, one way, expressway tolls included.
- How much is a taxi from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang Airport to Ayutthaya?
- Suvarnabhumi (BKK) to Ayutthaya: ฿1,200 by sedan, ฿1,500 by SUV, ฿2,000 by van. Don Mueang (DMK) to Ayutthaya: ฿1,100, ฿1,400 and ฿1,800. Tolls are included, and the first 60 minutes of waiting at the airport are free.
- How long is the drive?
- About 1.5 hours from central Bangkok (about 80 km) or from Suvarnabhumi (about 90 km). Don Mueang is on the Ayutthaya side of Bangkok, about an hour away.
- Can the driver wait while we visit the temples?
- The fares are one-way transfers. For a round trip, or a car that waits while you visit, message us on WhatsApp or LINE with your date: round trips get a discount, and we send the price by message. Temple entry tickets are not included.
- Where does the driver meet me at the airport?
- At Suvarnabhumi, after customs go up to Level 4 (Departures) and out through the doors near Gate 4; your car waits in the pickup lane. At Don Mueang, go up to Level 3 (Departures); the exact door is in the message you get the day before, because it depends on your terminal. A driver holding your name at the arrivals exit is ฿100 on request. Give us your flight number: a person checks it, and the first 60 minutes of waiting are free.
- How do I pay?
- In cash, in Thai baht, to the driver at the end of the ride. Nothing is charged when you book and there is no deposit. If you can only pay by card, message us on WhatsApp or LINE and we send a PayPal payment link; a 5% fee is added. We never see your card details.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. Message us on WhatsApp or LINE.
- Can I go on from Ayutthaya to Khao Yai, Kanchanaburi, Hua Hin or Sukhothai?
- Yes, at fixed fares. By sedan: Khao Yai ฿2,500, Kanchanaburi ฿2,600, Hua Hin ฿3,000, Pattaya ฿2,600 and Sukhothai ฿4,700. “Khao Yai” means Pak Chong and the hotels along Thanarat Road.
- Is the price per person?
- No, per car. A sedan takes up to 3 passengers and 2 suitcases, an SUV 5 and 4, a van 7 and 5. A child seat is ฿100 extra.
- Do the drivers speak English?
